Tomasz Skrętkowski is a percussionist and faculty member at Gdańsk Academy of Music, currently serving as a timpani player (first voice) with the Polish Baltic Philharmonic since 2016. Previously, he held roles as timpanist and percussion section head at the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra (2011–2016). He graduated from Bydgoszcz's F. Nowowiejski Academy of Music in instrumental and choral conducting, specializing in jazz and popular music ensembles.
His artistic work spans international collaborations with orchestras like the Berliner Philharmoniker-affiliated workshops and theaters such as the Polish Theatre in Warsaw. He is an active educator, leading workshops on orchestral percussion techniques and ethnic instruments at university and school levels. Additionally, he innovates in instrument production through his handmade mallet brand 'S. Mallets,' used by prestigious orchestras worldwide.
