Tom Wiebe

Tom Wiebe is an Associate Professor of Violoncello at the Don Wright Faculty of Music, Western University. He is a distinguished cellist whose performances span North America and Europe, with notable collaborations including Toronto’s GRAMMY-nominated ARC Ensemble and Art of Time Ensemble.

His research and performance focus on cello solo and chamber music repertoire, including world premiere recordings of works by Albert Hemsi and Robert Müller-Hartmann. He has recorded for labels such as Chandos, CBC, and Centrediscs.

Recent recordings and performances include works by Frederick Block (Chandos), Omar Daniel (Centrediscs), and collaborations with leading artists like Kevin Ahfat and Marie Berard. His repertoire spans classical to contemporary compositions.
