Todd Thexton is an Assistant Professor and Director of the School of Business at Royal Roads University. He teaches courses in environmental economics, sustainability, and business case planning for climate adaptation within the Master of Arts in Climate Action Leadership program, while also designing educational innovations for social and environmental impact.

Research Interests: Thexton explores the evolving role of business and markets in addressing global social and environmental challenges, with a focus on tensions between democratic principles and market efficiency. His work bridges governance frameworks, climate action strategies, and sustainable business practices.
Experience: Since 2008, he has been affiliated with Royal Roads University, transitioning from associate faculty to core faculty in the School of Business in 2015. Prior to academia, he held leadership and consulting roles in health and social services sectors, contributing to research on housing and homelessness, and developed a commitment to social sustainability through community development work with marginalized populations.
