Rollo’s work interrogates the intersections of childhood studies, democratic theory, and settler colonial critique. He explores how adultism and colonialism shape educational systems, social contracts, and political exclusion. His publications address themes like natality, feral children, and anti-Black racism in historical contexts.
Recent articles emphasize decolonial praxis (2025), critical pedagogy (2024), and intergenerational justice (2023). His work often bridges education, political philosophy, and race studies, with a methodological focus on child-centered frameworks and historical analysis of systemic violence.
He contributes to edited volumes such as Thinking, Childhood, and Time (2020) and SAGE Handbook of Children and Childhood (2020), addressing themes of democratic renewal and childhood as political subjectivity. His email is trollo@lakeheadu.ca.
