Karen Bridget Murray is an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics at York University's Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies. She holds a PhD from the University of British Columbia and MA/BA degrees from the University of Toronto.

Research Interests: Her work focuses on Canadian public policy and urban governance through comparative and transnational lenses (Ireland, United States). She examines settler-colonialism in Canada, particularly residential schools and settler-colonial cities, alongside democratic administration, biopolitics, and political transformation. Methodologically, she employs feminist, anti-racist, and decolonizing interpretive methods such as genealogy, ethnography, and autoethnography.
