Ting Luo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Government and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Birmingham. Her research focuses on digital governance and policy, examining how digital development influences politics and governance, with a comparative global perspective rooted in empirical work on China. She employs both traditional social science methods (surveys, experiments) and computational methods (machine learning, text analysis).
Education: PhD in Government and MSc in Public Policy & Administration from the London School of Economics (LSE). Prior roles include Senior Lecturer in Political Communication at Manchester Metropolitan University, and postdoctoral fellowships at the Hertie School (Berlin) and Leiden University (Netherlands).
