Tina Miller

Tina Miller is a Professor of Sociology at Oxford Brookes University within the School of Law and Social Sciences. Her research focuses on transitions to parenthood, gendered identities, masculinities, reproductive health, and qualitative methodologies with ethical considerations.

Her work explores temporal dimensions of family practices across diverse cultural contexts including the UK, Sweden, Solomon Islands, Bangladesh, and South Africa. Recent projects examine refugee fatherhood integration and modern childbirth preparation techniques. She contributes to policy development through advisory roles with the World Health Organisation and UK political entities, while maintaining public engagement via BBC Radio 4 broadcasts.

Dr. Miller supervises PhD research on topics such as lone mother experiences, migration impacts on familial practices, and refugee family integration.
