Timothy J. Robblee serves as Director of Bands and Associate Professor of Conducting at Shenandoah Conservatory, Shenandoah University. He oversees the wind band program, conducts the Wind Ensemble and EDGE Ensemble, and teaches conducting. Previously, he was Associate Director of Bands at Northwestern University and held directorships at Washington State University and Willamette University.
With over eight years of public school teaching experience in Palo Alto, California, Robblee's ensembles received national recognition including Downbeat Magazine's Outstanding High School Jazz Combo award (1997). He maintains an international guest conducting schedule and is published in GIA's Teaching Music Through Performance in Band series.
His research interests encompass wind band literature, conducting pedagogy, and contemporary music performance. He actively presents at music education conferences and adjudicates festivals nationwide.
