Dr. Timothy Howles is Associate Director of the Laudato Si’ Research Institute at Campion Hall, University of Oxford, and a Junior Research Fellow in Political Theology. His work bridges political theology, environmental ethics, and Continental philosophy, focusing on the planetary crisis through thinkers like Bruno Latour, Michel Serres, and James Lovelock. He teaches in the Faculty of Theology & Religion and the School of Geography & the Environment. Recent research explores Earth System Science's implications for theology and philosophy. His 2023 book on Latour's political theology and forthcoming articles highlight interdisciplinary engagement with environmental crises.
