Dr. Timothy Howe is an Associate Professor of Trombone and Coordinator of the Brass Area at the School of Music, University of Missouri. He holds a DMA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has extensive experience in orchestral performance, including roles as Second Trombone of the Omaha Symphony and Principal Trombone of multiple ensembles. His research focuses on historical trombone performance practices, particularly in 18th- and early 19th-century German/Austrian orchestral works.

He is a founding member of the Drei Bones Trombone Trio, which has released multiple CDs and performed internationally.

- Region jazz clinician and past president of the Arkansas Jazz Educators Association
