Dr. Frank Gazda is a Professor of Music at Delaware State University, Dover, DE. He specializes in teaching applied low brass, music history, brass methods, and directs trombone and tuba-euphonium ensembles. Previously, he served on the faculties of Wayne State College (NE) and Shepherd University (WV).
His performances span solo, chamber, and orchestral settings with groups like the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, Delaware Symphony, and Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He is a member of the Capitol Brass and First State Brass ensembles.
Dr. Gazda has been a clinician at major music conferences, including the International Trombone Festival and Hawkeye Regional Tuba-Euphonium Conference. He reviews recordings and literature for the International Trombone Association Journal and contributes to other music publications.
He holds a DMA from the University of Maryland, a Master of Music from Manhattan School of Music, and a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Shenandoah Conservatory.
