Timea Putnoki is an Assistant Lecturer in quantitative modules at the Department of Government and Department of Sociology and Criminology, University of Essex. She is concurrently a Postgraduate Research Student in the School of Health and Social Care, pursuing a PhD in Public Health focused on intersectional inequalities in stroke care and outcomes in England. Her research employs advanced quantitative methods to analyze health disparities, with a particular emphasis on systemic oppression and healthcare equity.
Qualifications include a BSc in Psychology (University of East London, 2018) and an MSc in International Public Policy (Queen Mary University of London, 2021). Her work bridges public health, sociology, and policy, addressing how sociodemographic factors intersect to influence healthcare access and outcomes.
Office hours are held Thursdays 11:00–13:00 in room 5A.104 (Colchester Campus), with remote meetings available. Her thesis, supervised by Professor Reza Majdzadeh and Dr. Honor Bixby, explores methodological approaches to dissecting structural inequities in stroke care provision across England.
