Dr. Timberley Roane is Associate Professor in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Colorado Denver, where she serves as Director of the ESIL (Environmental Stewardship of Indigenous Lands) Certificate program.
Her research program investigates:
- Microbial responses to environmental contaminants
- Bioremediation mechanisms for metal-impacted soils
- Microbial community dynamics in contaminated environments
- Integration of Indigenous knowledge in environmental stewardship
