Tim Cresswell

Tim Cresswell is Visiting Professor at Manchester Metropolitan University and Ogilvie Professor of Geography at the University of Edinburgh. A geographer and published poet, he has authored over a dozen books examining relationships between place and mobility.

His creative and scholarly work converges in explorations of spatial theory, landscape representation, and literary geography. Recent publications include 'Maxwell Street: Writing and Thinking Place' examining urban spatial narratives.

Cresswell co-edits the interdisciplinary journal GeoHumanities, bridging geographical and humanistic inquiry. His poetry collections include 'Soil', 'Fence', and the forthcoming 'Plastiglomerate'.
