Tim Carens is a Professor at the College of Charleston, where he has taught since 1998. His expertise centers on British literature and culture of the nineteenth century, with courses covering Gothic literature, Oscar Wilde, imperial rhetoric, Jane Austen in novel and film, and classic children’s literature.
