Emily Tucker

Emily Tucker is an Assistant Professor at Hope College's English Department since 2019. She specializes in Victorian and neo-Victorian literature, with a focus on dramatic literature and emotional pedagogy in 19th-century texts.

Recent scholarship includes conference presentations on The Mystery of Edwin Drood (2024), Hard Times (2021), Wilde's plays (2017), and intertextuality in Hamilton (2016). She teaches courses on Broadway theater, Oscar Wilde/Jane Austen, and expository writing about empathy.
