Dr. Tim Beuthin is a Professor in the Division of Leadership and Followership Studies at Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU), where he has served since 2006. His roles include academic leadership and pastoral ministry across institutions.
Education:
- PhD in College and University Administration-Student Personnel (Michigan State University, 1989)
- M.Div in Administration and Counseling (Asbury Theological Seminary, 1980)
- BA in Philosophy-Religion and Social Science (Spring Arbor College, 1974)
Research Interests: Dr. Beuthin focuses on leader development, ethics in leadership, spiritual formation, and servant leadership. He explores moral imagination, character/virtue development, and faith integration in higher education through publications and conference presentations.
Professional Experience: Prior to IWU, he served as Dean of Students at Spring Arbor University, General Secretary of Higher Education for the Free Methodist Church, and Education Director at the Lilly-funded Center for Congregation. He has also held pastoral roles in multiple Free Methodist congregations.
Teaching & Service: Facilitates courses in ethics and leadership, and has advised on ecclesiastical and educational policies for over 40 years.
