Tiffany Taylor is Professor and Undergraduate Coordinator in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at Kent State University. Her research examines inequality in paid/unpaid work systems, welfare service delivery, and poverty mechanisms. She has co-edited volumes on social inequalities and marginalized motherhood, and published extensively on gender/race segregation in workplaces.
Her current projects analyze organizational barriers in welfare-to-work programs and neoliberal impacts on labor relations. She has secured research grants including:
- 2013 ASA/NSF Fund grant ($7,000) for comparative welfare service delivery study
- 2009 Farris Family Innovation Grant ($24,000) for nonprofit-sector relations research
