Susan Fisk

Susan Fisk is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at Kent State University, part of the College of Arts & Sciences. Her research focuses on gender and racial segregation in occupations, interventions to broaden participation in computing, and the social-psychological processes hindering women’s workforce mobility. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Stanford University (2015).

Research & Education
Her work spans quantitative methods, organizational behavior, and STEM education equity. She has secured over $5.9M in NSF grants, including leading the STARS Computing Corps and serving as Co-PI on ADVANCE Catalyst initiatives.
