Tiffany Antone

Tiffany Antone is an Associate Teaching Professor of Theatre at Iowa State University (ISU), located in Ames, Iowa. She holds an M.F.A. in Playwriting and a B.A. in Theatre from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), alongside an A.A. from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her work bridges academic teaching and professional theatre practice, focusing on community engagement and new play development.

Antone’s research interests emphasize community-based theatre initiatives, educational theatre, and playwriting as a tool for social advocacy. She has produced and directed national new play festivals through her companies Little Black Dress INK and Protest Plays Project. Current projects include the inter-collegiate Heal the Divide on Campus and the #TheatreActionVOTE campaign.

Her plays have been performed in major U.S. cities and internationally. She actively presents at academic conferences and contributes to platforms like HowlRound.com and the Los Angeles Female Playwrights Initiative.

Antone collaborates with ISU’s faculty, such as her husband Cason Murphy, and balances her professional work with family life, raising two sons.
