Thomas Schmidt

Thomas Schmidt is a Professor of Quality Management and Organizational Development at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, affiliated with the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Research and Continuing Education. He holds the title of Privatdozent in Organizational Ethics and serves as Managing Director of the WerteWandel-Institut for integrative management consulting. His career includes leadership roles in educational and spiritual organizations, including the Caritas network.

Education: PhD in Hermeneutics of Modern Mythos Philosophies (1994), studies in Philosophy at the Universities of Saarbrücken and Würzburg (1984–1988).

Research focuses on Organizational Ethics, Systems Theory, and Strategic Management. He co-edits Praxis Palliative Care and advises the Institute for Organizational Ethics & Palliative Care in Vienna. His work integrates spiritual values into organizational structures and management practices.
