Thomas Marzetta is a Distinguished Industry Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and Director of NYU WIRELESS. He holds a Ph.D. and SB from MIT (Electrical Engineering) and an MS from the University of Pennsylvania (Systems Engineering). Prior to NYU, he worked at Schlumberger-Doll Research, Nichols Research Corporation, and Bell Labs, where he was elected a Bell Labs Fellow. He originated Massive MIMO, a cornerstone of 5G technology, and authored the book Fundamentals of Massive MIMO.
