Thomas Biedermann

Thomas Biedermann is Senior Lecturer at the Australian National University's School of Cybernetics, integrating systems engineering with organizational design to create responsible socio-technical systems. His transdisciplinary approach blends cybernetics, visual arts, and participatory methods.

Research Focus: Develops frameworks for safe and sustainable systems through futures thinking, game-based learning, and embodied methodologies. Applications include Sino-French research collaborations, science diplomacy, and university decarbonization programs.

Leadership Experience: Former inaugural manager of ANU's 3AI Innovation Institute and Below Zero decarbonization program. Current committee member of Australian-French Association for Research and Innovation.
