Theodore Reff

Theodore Reff is Professor of Art History at Columbia University and previously held the Slade Professorship at the University of Cambridge's Department of History of Art (1982–83). His research interests include Russian art, 20th-century art education, and global art studies. He has contributed to interdisciplinary initiatives such as conferences on avant-garde art movements in Vitebsk, reflecting his engagement with Soviet-era art history and pedagogy. His academic work bridges historical analysis with contemporary art discourse.
