Terrance Brown

Terrance Brown is an Assistant Professor of Screenwriting at the University of Notre Dame, based in Chicago. He holds a B.A. in Film Studies and Sociology from Vanderbilt University and an M.F.A. in Writing for the Screen and Stage from Northwestern University.

His research focuses on creative storytelling across mediums, including feature films, TV dramas, web series, and sitcom pilot development. He has extensive experience teaching screenwriting techniques and comedic voice development at institutions like The Second City, Northwestern University, and the University of Chicago.

His creative works have been featured at The Onion, Victory Gardens, Comedy Central, and The Second City. His teaching portfolio includes courses on industry pitching practices and digital series creation.

Currently located in the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center (Office B015B), his professional activities bridge academic instruction with practical industry engagement in entertainment writing.
