Teri Elkins Longacre

Teri Elkins Longacre currently serves as Vice Provost and Dean for Undergraduate Student Success at the University of Houston and is an Associate Professor of Management at the C. T. Bauer College of Business. She joined the faculty in 1997 and has held leadership roles such as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Bauer and the University of Houston Faculty and Staff Ombudsperson.

Her research focuses on employment discrimination, employee selection practices, affirmative action plans, leadership, and academic internship programs. She actively contributes to organizational behavior and management education, with a particular emphasis on legal and ethical frameworks in business operations.

Teri coordinates an internship program with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and her scholarly work has appeared in journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Leadership Quarterly, and Journal of Occupational Health Psychology. She continues to bridge academic excellence with practical legal applications in management and human resources.
