Tera Webb

Tera Webb, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Laboratory Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She holds appointments in the School of Health Professions, Office of the Provost as a Scholar, and the Center for Clinical and Translational Science as an Associate Scientist. Her expertise spans clinical microbiology, healthcare quality improvement, and interprofessional education. Webb's research focuses on team dynamics, psychological safety, and transactive memory systems in healthcare teams.

Education: PhD in Healthcare Administration (UAB, 2022), MS in Clinical Laboratory Sciences (UAB, 2011), BS in Biology (UAB, 2008). Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist through the American Society for Clinical Pathology since 2012.

Her work emphasizes improving patient outcomes through collaborative education strategies and interprofessional activities for students/faculty. She develops team-based training programs and evaluates their impact on healthcare quality metrics.
