Telesphore SIME NGANDO is a Research Professor and Director of Research Exceptional Class (DRCE) at the CNRS. He serves as the Representative of the IRD in Central Africa, overseeing Cameroon, Gabon, Congo, and the DR Congo. His primary affiliation is with Clermont Auvergne University, where he leads research at the Microorganisms Laboratory: Genome Environment (LMGE, UMR 6023).
His research focuses on environmental microbiology and microbial ecology, particularly the roles of bacteriophages and chytrids in phytoplankton ecosystems.
