Ted T. Kivitt

Ted T. Kivitt is an Associate Professor of Dance at Purchase College's Conservatory of Dance, where he teaches Ballet Technique, Partnering, and warm-up courses. Previously, he served as a Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre (1961–79), rising from the corps de ballet to soloist and principal roles. His performance history includes television appearances (Dance in America, Today Show, Ed Sullivan Show), Broadway shows, and White House performances for Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, and Carter.

He continues to work as a Ballet Master, coach, and educator, collaborating with institutions like Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and Dance Institute in Austin, TX.
