Megan Williams

Megan Williams is an academic and professional dancer affiliated with Sarah Lawrence College and Purchase College, SUNY. She holds a BFA from The Juilliard School and an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. Her roles include teaching ballet, dance pedagogy, and yoga-based practices across multiple institutions. Williams is a choreographer, repetiteur, and former principal dancer with the Mark Morris Dance Group (1988-1998), maintaining ongoing collaborations as a guest performer and rehearsal director. She founded Megan Williams Dance Projects (MWDP), which produced acclaimed works like One Woman Show. Williams has held teaching roles at Purchase College (2000-2013), Connecticut College, Hunter College, and others, while also teaching Dance for Parkinson’s Disease since 2011.

Labs/Teams: MWDP serves as her primary creative platform, collaborating with composers like Eve Beglarian and institutions such as Danspace Project.
