Taryn Mudge

Dr. Taryn Mudge is Assistant Professor of Architecture at Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University. With over a decade of teaching experience spanning history/theory, visual literacy, and studio instruction, her research examines pedagogical methods that encourage contextual sensitivity and reduce design judgment in architectural education.

Her scholarship focuses on adapting historical and theoretical frameworks to contemporary design education, emphasizing site-responsive approaches and critical examination of designer perspective. Current work develops 'less judgmental' design methodologies to enhance student learning processes.
