Tarah Warner

Tarah Warner is an Assistant Professor of Practice at the Department of Hospitality & Tourism Management, Virginia Tech. She holds positions as President and CEO of TMW Productions, LLC and Weddings by TMW Productions, LLC. Her professional experience spans customer service, sales, marketing, food service management, event planning, and hospitality across organizations like Compass Group North America and Johnson & Wales University. She is a Certified Food Management Professional and serves as a Rotarian with the Pawtuxet Valley Rotary Club, formerly its president (2017-2019).

• Education: A.S. in Restaurant Management (Johnson & Wales University), B.S. in Food Service Management (concentration in Event Sales/Meeting Management), and M.B.A. in Accounting.

Her research and professional interests focus on event management, hospitality operations, and business analytics. She teaches HTM 3424: Event Management at Virginia Tech.

Awards include the Paul Harris Fellow recognition from Rotary International. She has advised Rotary District 7950 on their annual District Conference and contributed to industry partnerships through her academic and corporate roles.
