Tara Wiles

Tara Wiles is an Instructor in the Criminal Justice Department at Wayne State College. She holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice (Corrections) from Wayne State College (2007) and is pursuing an MSOM in Criminal Justice Administration (expected 2024). Her professional experience includes roles as a juvenile probation officer for Nebraska and a forensic technician with the Omaha Police Department, where she gained extensive field experience in crime scene investigation, evidence collection, and forensic techniques.

Her research interests focus on criminal investigations, criminalistics, and substance abuse issues like drugs and alcohol addiction. She emphasizes hands-on learning through the CSI Facility, which she helps manage for student training. Wiles is also a lifelong student of leadership principles and community service.
