Taowen Le is a Professor of Management Information Systems at Weber State University (WSU), affiliated with the Department of Management Information Systems & Supply Chain Management. He joined WSU in 1998 after serving as an assistant professor at Southern Utah University (1995–1998) and working in the software industry (1990–1995). Promoted to associate professor in 2000 and full professor in 2006, he also held administrative roles including acting/co-chair of his department (2000–2002). From 2002–2017, he maintained parallel responsibilities as a Liaoning Province (China) government representative while continuing academic work at WSU.

Current roles include Chairman of the Utah Chinese Civic Center, Advisor for the Chinese Association for Science & Technology in Utah, and Business Division Chair of the Utah Academy of Science, Arts & Letters.
