Tania Voon is Professor at Melbourne Law School, University of Melbourne, specializing in public international law and international economic law. Former Legal Officer of the WTO Appellate Body Secretariat, she has practiced law with King & Wood Mallesons and Australian Government Solicitor.
Research Focus: Her work examines international trade agreements, investment law constraints on national policies, and digital health regulations. Recent publications analyze foreign investment screening mechanisms and security exceptions in WTO law.
Global Engagement: Serves on dispute resolution panels for WTO, Energy Charter Treaty, and EU trade agreements. Has held visiting positions at Georgetown, Sorbonne, and Cambridge universities.
Publications: Authored 'Cultural Products and the World Trade Organization' and co-authored 'Regulatory Autonomy in International Economic Law'. Currently co-authoring Focus Torts (10th ed).
