Prof. Dr. Tang Ching-Ping is a Professor in the Department of Political Science at National Cheng Chi University, Taipei. He was a visiting scholar at the European Research Center on Contemporary Taiwan, University of Tübingen, from January to February 2011. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. (1998) from the University of Southern California and an M.P.I.A. (1993) from the University of Pittsburgh. Tang’s research focuses on environmental policy, comparative democratization, and governance in new democracies. He has held significant editorial roles, including Chief Editor of the Taiwanese Political Science Review since 2010 and Executive Editor since 2003. His work bridges environmental governance, institutional adaptation, and political dynamics in Taiwan and beyond.
