Taher Hamza is a Professor of Finance at EM Normandie since August 2021. Previously, he held roles as Director of Studies and Adjunct Director at IHEC Carthage (2017–2021), and taught at institutions including Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Clermont-Fd (1992–2002), ISG-University of Sousse (2002–2014), and IHEC-University of Carthage (2015–2021). He earned a PhD in Management Sciences from the University of Grenoble II (1993), focusing on hostile takeovers.
Research interests span corporate finance, governance, mergers and acquisitions, equity pricing, and ESG-related topics. Notable contributions include studies on institutional ownership effects, economic policy uncertainty, and financial distress prediction. He has published extensively in journals like International Journal of Managerial and Financial Accounting, Journal of Strategy and Management, and European Business Review.
His work often addresses corporate governance dynamics, risk management in banking, and the impact of institutional investors. He has presented at major conferences such as AFFI, DASA, and EBES, and contributed to professional journals like Banque-Magazine and Revue Echanges.
