TAN Hwee Hoon

Professor TAN Hwee Hoon is an Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour & Human Resources at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB), Singapore Management University (SMU). He holds additional roles as Academic Director for the Doctor of Innovation and Doctor of Business Administration programmes, and Course Coordinator for the Management of People at Work (MPW) course. His research focuses on trust dynamics across cultures, leadership, and organizational behavior, with particular emphasis on Confucian-influenced societies and cross-cultural management challenges.

Professor Tan earned his Ph.D. in Management from Purdue University (1996) and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore (1989). He has been with LKCSB since 2005, contributing significantly to both research and teaching. He has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Dean's Teaching Honour List (2006–2012) and Outstanding Educator/Researcher Awards (2003).
