Professor Swee-Hoon Chuah is a Professor of Behavioral Economics at the University of Tasmania and the founding Director of the Tasmanian Behavioural Lab. She holds a PhD in Behavioral and Experimental Economics from the University of Nottingham, UK. Her research focuses on cross-cultural experimental economics, examining how cultural factors like ethnicity, religion, and social identity influence socio-economic behavior. She leads applied research initiatives using behavioral science to address public policy challenges, collaborating with governments, NGOs, and industry. Chuah serves on the Board of Brand Tasmania and the Academic Advisory Panel of the Australian Government’s Behavioural Economics Team (BETA).
