Lerato Dixon is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. She teaches undergraduate economics courses and supervises students at this level.

Her research focuses on Behavioural and Experimental Economics, with emphasis on other-regarding preferences, social norms, personality traits, and decision-making frameworks. She has conducted cross-cultural experiments in Zimbabwe and the UK, and contributed economic research for Kings Mill Hospital, Mansfield.
Lerato's recent publications span polarisation in social preferences, predictive modeling in sports, employment prospects, and corporate rankings. These works reflect her interest in applying experimental methods to real-world economic and behavioral challenges.
Externally, she serves as Executive Editor of the Economic Issues journal, a peer-reviewed publication promoting research with implications for economics education. The journal is managed by a charity under the Nottingham Trent University trusteeship.
