Swati Pandita

Swati Pandita is a Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate in Computational Neuroscience of Social Media at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), affiliated with the Broad Center for Biological Sciences. Her work bridges neuroscience and digital behavior to explore the intersection of social media and mental health.

• Research Focus: Examines neural correlates of social media interactions and their impact on psychological well-being.
• Current Projects: fMRI studies on social media's effects, mitigation of online toxicity.

Publications: Recently published in Trends in Cognitive Sciences (TiCS) on social toxicity and mental well-being, with related outreach via Caltech News. She will present at ICA’s 75th Annual Conference (May 2025) on VRChat avatars and social dynamics.
