Suzanne Fifield

Suzanne Fifield is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the University of Dundee, affiliated with the Accounting & Finance discipline within the School of Business. She joined the university in 1999 and became a Senior Lecturer in 2007. She holds a PhD from the University of Dundee (1999), a Master’s in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics (1995), and a Bachelor of Accountancy (First Class Honours) from the University of Dundee (1994). She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Her research focuses on international portfolio diversification, stock market efficiency, and international accounting, with notable work on emerging markets, financial inclusion, and IFRS implementation. She has secured grants such as 'The Introduction of International Financial Reporting Standards' (£16,750, ICAS) and 'Interest Rate Risk Management' (£8,500, CIMA). Her publications appear in journals like the European Journal of Finance and Applied Economics.
