Suvi Nenonen

Suvi Nenonen is a Professor at the Department of Marketing and Strategy at Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), a position she has held since August 2022. Previously, she served as a Professor of Strategic Marketing at the University of Auckland Business School (New Zealand) and as Director of the Graduate School of Management (2017–2019). Prior to academia, she worked for a decade as a strategy consultant for major European companies across various industries. She is affiliated with the Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets, enhancing her research impact in sustainable market dynamics.

Research Interests: Her work focuses on strategic marketing and management, particularly market-shaping strategies—how firms influence their operating environments through strategic agency. Methodologically, she emphasizes qualitative, abductive, and conceptual approaches.
