Susanne Rupp

Susanne Rupp is Professor of English Studies at the University of Hamburg, specializing in British literature and cultural history from 1500-1800. She holds memberships in prestigious academic organizations including the Academia Europaea.

Her interdisciplinary research examines:

• Religious themes in early modern literature
• Performance of sacred concepts
• Classicism in English literature
• Cultural representations of theology
• Renaissance song traditions
