Naomi Baker

Naomi Baker is Senior Lecturer in English Literature at University of Manchester, specializing in Renaissance literature and theology. Her research examines radical Protestant women writers and Shakespearean temporality, with books including Plain Ugly (2010) and Voices of Thunder (2025).

As associate editor of Literature and Theology, Baker bridges literary analysis and religious studies. Awarded Society for Renaissance Studies Essay Prize for work on early modern ugliness.
