Susana Onega is a Full Professor at the University of Zaragoza since 1986, specializing in modern and contemporary British literature, literary theory, and narratology. She has held leadership roles as Head and Vice-head of the Department of English and German Philology, and coordinates research groups accredited by Spanish and European institutions.
Education

Research Interests
Susana Onega focuses on modernist and postmodernist fiction, narratology, structuralism, deconstruction, feminist criticism, and mythical/archetypal analysis. Her work also extends to ethics and trauma studies within literary theory.

Academic Leadership
She has led the Consolidated Research Group funded by the Aragonese Government since 2003 and coordinated Master’s and Doctoral programs under European Convergence criteria. She served as President of the European Society for the Study of English (ESSE) and on evaluation committees for the Spanish Ministry of Education and the European Commission.
