Dr. Susan L Ross is an Assistant Professor at San José State University's Health Science & Recreation Department, where she coordinates the Recreation Therapy degree and Complementary and Alternative Medicine minor. She holds a PhD in Transformative Learning from California Institute of Integral Studies and an MS in Recreation Therapy from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, with certifications as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and Recreation Therapist (RTC).
Her transdisciplinary research focuses on transformation processes through therapeutic modalities including adventure therapy, sacred play, and indigenous healing practices.
