Susan Hodge is a Senior Lecturer and Undergraduate Coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte), where she has taught since at least 2014. She holds an M.S. from UNC Charlotte (1984) and a B.S. from Appalachian State University (1981). Her roles include teaching undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice, advising, and coordinating academic programs.

Her teaching focuses on foundational criminal justice topics, ethics, law enforcement, and juvenile justice. She has received prestigious teaching awards, including the 2016 College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Outstanding Teaching Award. Her advising work earned the department a Provost’s Award in 2014-2015. Since 2025, she leads as Undergraduate Coordinator.
Outside academia, she volunteered with the Victim Assistance Program and served on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Law Center.
