Susan Green

Dr. Susan Green is an Associate Lecturer at The Courtauld Institute of Art specializing in late medieval and early Renaissance art. Her doctoral research examined Tree of Jesse iconography in Northern Europe.

Research focuses on fifteenth-century Northern European sculpture, devotional practices surrounding Saint Anne, pilgrimage traditions, and artistic production techniques. Teaching includes undergraduate courses on Northern Renaissance art in London collections.

Publications include monographs on Tree of Jesse iconography and art historical methodology, with scholarly contributions examining materiality and preservation in Western art traditions.
