Sun Sun Yap is a PhD Researcher at the Cambridge Institute for Music Therapy Research, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences at the University of Cambridge. She concurrently serves as a clinical music therapist at the neurological department of the University Hospital Tulln in Lower Austria and teaches on the Applied Health Sciences MSc programme at the University of Applied Sciences Krems, Austria. Her research explores the relationship between self-reported therapy readiness and nonverbal/heart rate synchrony during music therapy interventions, aiming to inform personalized medicine approaches in neurological rehabilitation.
